We have mailed five co-op postcards in Houghton County, and a Houghton holiday card is on the way too. This Marquette holiday card is our first one here, and the first businesses on it get the best price we will ever offer here.

Where it goes
Delivered by USPS Every Door Direct Mail, so it reaches every address on each carrier route, not a purchased list.
We picked the routes with the strongest household incomes in Marquette. Average household income across the selected routes is about $77,000, based on USPS data.
An oversized card is larger than anything else in the mailbox, with full color on both sides and a high gloss finish.
One business per category. If you are the plumber on the card, no other plumber gets on.

That depends on how many advertisers sign up. Either size is enormous and stands out in the mailbox over any other piece of mail they get. It is printed in full color on both sides, and your ad size, your price and the number of homes mailed stay the same.
The 11x14 card has 41 spots, and a 9x12 has 23. With a mix of ad sizes there are usually about 25 businesses on an 11x14 card.

I do, and design is included. You can also send your own design. Usually I only need your offer, and I can pull your logo and info from your website or social media.
Not required, but an offer works best. Something like "mention this card for 10% off" brings in new customers and makes it easy to see what the card is doing for you.
Cash, check or credit card. Checks are payable to Support the UP. Your spot is locked in once payment is received. Payment plans are available through Afterpay, with payments over 6 weeks and zero interest.
Who is behind it
I'm Russell. I run Support the UP, a local co-op postcard business based in the Houghton area. We have mailed five postcards across Houghton County, and the sixth, our holiday card, is in the works.
